CE Dealer Team gears up for high-stakes World RX finale in Türkiye

As the FIA World Rallycross Championship heads into its decisive double-header at Istanbul Park (20-21 September), CE Dealer Team by Volvo Construction Equipment (CE Dealer Team) remains in contention for both driver and team honours. With 56 points still available and just 15 separating championship leader Johan Kristoffersson from Niclas Grönholm, every race this weekend will be crucial.
Jussi Pinomäki, Team Principal, CE Dealer Team: “The stakes are high in Türkiye, but that’s when this team is at its best. The track is demanding, the competition is strong, and with two rounds in one weekend, consistency will be everything. Grönholm commented: “It’s the last push of the season and every point matters. We’ve had some strong performances this year and the goal is to finish on a high.”
Teammate Klara Andersson is equally motivated: “Istanbul is a big challenge, but that’s what makes it exciting. A double-header means more chances to deliver, and I’m ready to give everything for the team.”

Track Preparedness & Volvo Construction Equipment’s Role
For the 2024 World RX season, Official Track Building Partner Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) undertook a major rebuild of Istanbul Park’s rallycross layout. The project included upgrades to safety barriers, drainage systems, run-off areas, and overall infrastructure, earning strong praise from teams and drivers for delivering a safer, more consistent, and more technically challenging circuit.
For this weekend’s double-header, Volvo CE machines will play a vital operational role: re-finishing the track surface, ensuring grip and consistency, and providing recovery support throughout both days’ racing.
In addition, a large group of customers from the Turkish Volvo CE dealer network will be hosted for a full paddock and race experience, reinforcing local connections and the brand’s presence.
Looking Ahead
This final weekend in Türkiye promises drama, and CE Dealer Team knows there will be no room for error. But that’s exactly where the team thrives - challenging the limits, pushing for every advantage, and competing until the very end.
